God 's word will renew you.

First, God 's word will restore your spiritual life. When you become spiritually dry or numb, God 's word will renew your passion for fellowship with God. It will restore your faith in God 's love for you. It will stimulate new faithfulness in prayer. It will enrich your worship of Christ. Second, God 's word will restore your emotional life. God 's word will free you from depression and give you joy. It will deliver you from anger and give you forbearance with people. It will replace your lust with purity. God 's word will remove your jealousy and make you generous. It will cast out your bitterness and give you a forgiving spirit. It will replace your fear with courage. Third, God 's word will restore your relational life. It will bring reconciliation with parents or friends. It will transform you r marriage. It will enable you to love your enemies. It is tragic that even though the Bible is very clear on its perfectly complete ability to restore our souls, not every Christian or Christian leader believes the Bible is sufficient for this purpose.
